Attorney's Fees For Consumer Bankruptcy

The Gauss Law Firm charges from $1000 to $2000 for mostChapter 7 cases. In addition, there is a $299 filing fee which must be paid to the Court. The fee to be charged in your matter depends on the complexity of your case. Exceptions are sometimes made for persons who have serious illnesses. The fee can be paid in installments.

Many persons borrow the money necessary to file bankruptcy from a friend or family member and pay the money back later. If bankruptcy is the right alternative for you, it is usually possible and wise to stop paying bills on unsecured debts, and to then use that money to pay your lawyer. Experience and preparation matter in a bankruptcy case, and while there are cheaper lawyers available, often times you get what you pay for. We offer a free consultation where the fees are explained.

We compete on excellence, not on price. Robert Gauss has been a bankruptcy attorney for 16 years and will earn every penny you spend here. It is worth it. There are a number of ways we bring value to the bankruptcy client that "cheap" lawyers do not: we return calls, we do pre-bankruptcy planning, we have "airtight" petitions which do not get questioned, we have the experience to maximize your exemptions, we will plan the timing of your case to save you money, you will work with the lawyer and not a secretary, etc. etc. In short, our fees are reasonable and worth every penny!
